March Highlights @ ALICANA: St. Patrick’s Day

St. Patrick’s Day

Taking into account the big parade that is held in New York every year, where thousands of Irish immigrants’ descendants gather to celebrate their patron Saint’s day, we thought that although this celebration is not truly American, it represents the great importance of immigration to the United States.
Students learned vocabulary related to the celebration, they saw the vocabulary represented in flashcards, did some activities and prepared cards to revise vocabulary while having fun. Then the teacher shared with them a pot of gold a leprechaun gave her . Both, children and adults loved their chocolate coins!
